These are version 3 of the 940 style. This version is stiffer in the sole which takes some getting used to and seemingly a little heavier. I wear orthopedic inserts for my feet, so the stiffness issue was magnified for me having wore the NB 940 style for several years now. I will have to continue to wear this 940v3 style to see if the stiffness softens a bit. Otherwise, I may be looking for another manufacture to meet my needs.
