Speed Blade irons take our Speed Pocket to the next level, giving golfers an instrument that will change the nature of their approach shots to help them hit more greens and shoot lower scores. Visually, Speed Blade irons are striking, combining a two-tone, satin nickel chrome plating with dark smoke satin ion plating IP . Internally, the key performance feature that separates Speed Blade from the pack is the Speed Pocket, a handle-bar shaped slot in the sole of the 3-7 irons that enables a large area of the face to flex and rebound at impact, resulting in faster ball speed, higher launch and better feel. The Speed Pocket performs where golfers need it most. Our research indicates that 72 of shots by 5- to 25-handicappers are impacted below the center of the face. The Speed Pocket helps you launch those low-impact shots on a consistently higher, longer carrying and softer-landing flight. Arnold Bookheim: Easy to Hit, Solid Feel and Longer

These Irons are super easy to hit, have a wonderful solid feel and for me the carry is about one club distance further than my previous Burner II HP set. I only had my TaylorMade Burner II HP Irons a bit over 2 years when I rented a set of these for a round of golf while on vacation in Las Vegas last November. I was so impressed that I requested and used them for a round at another course later in the week and then ordered a set upon arriving home. The feel is closer to the forged TM 300 s I had when I could play yet very forgiving and way better than the burners which I was actually comfortable with. I m in my early 70 s and had quit hitting the 4 5 irons a couple of years ago. With the Speedblades I am hitting the 5 iron without hesitation and dabbling with the 4. Both are longer than the hybrids which replaced the 4 5 irons. The speedslot in the middle irons and 4 Iron really works, increasing feel and distance. All this tends to bolster confidence which is helpful with increasing age and declining ability. Amazons price was unbeatable with free shipping.
